Created in 2004, Punk Rope is a mash-up of jump rope and recess for all ages and fitness levels. No rope jumping skill is necessary. We’ll teach you what you need to know in less than 5 minutes.
Punk Rope improves cardiovascular conditioning, agility, coordination, strength, power, speed, and rhythm, and burns mega calories. Speaking of calories, don’t believe the exorbitant claims you read from gyms, trainers, and websites. Here’s the truth: a 150-pound person jumping at 145 revolutions per minute will burn 13.4 calories per minute, which is darn good. A heavier person will burn more. A person turning the rope faster or turning a heavier rope will burn more. But try not to get too caught up in calories. They are just one piece of the fitness equation.

Giving back is important to us. To improve the health and fitness of young and old we’ve partnered with WIC, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Healthcorps, DOVE, the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, myFace, City Harvest, the Food Bank, Let’s Move, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, and numerous other not-for-profit and charitable organizations.
Education is also important to us! We’ve trained more than 1,100 Punk Rope instructors through more than 100 workshops in 20 states. In addition, we’ve taught more than 25 Punk Rope Challenge workshops at public schools in New York City and have led more than 75 double unders seminars at CrossFit gyms throughout the Northeastern United States.
Punk Rope can happen just about anywhere. Classes have been held at gyms, community centers, bowling alleys, bars, breweries, parks, art galleries, churches, playgrounds, and even the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
