Jump Rope 360 is a 60-minute high-intensity interval training class, which blends jumping rope with a wide variety of tried and true exercises such as squats, lunges, push-ups, planks, crawls, crunches, mountain climbers, burpees, scissors jumps, skaters, star jumps, and many more.
Jump Rope 360 will improve your:
• cardiovascular conditioning
• foot and hand speed
• bone density
• body composition
• overall athleticism
Each Jump Rope 360 class consists of 13 intervals of which six (6) involve rope jumping. Five (5) intervals focus on developing upper body, lower body, and/or core strength. The class begins with a thorough warm-up and concludes with a relaxing cooldown.
Expect to burn around 600 calories per hour.
During the rope-jumping intervals, which range from two to five minutes, you’ll be attempting a wide range of jump rope steps including:
• double unders
• stagger step
• playground hop
• high knees
No rope jumping skill is necessary. We’ll teach you everything you need to know in your very first class.
Jump ropes are provided.
Jump Rope 360 is challenging, but can be modified so it’s appropriate for most fitness levels. Make sure you let your instructor know if you have any limitations.
