Tim started jumping rope in 1976 at the age of 16 and—now in his late 50s—continues to jump almost daily, partly to manage the four herniated discs in his lumbar spine. Tim created Punk Rope in 2004 as an alternative to traditional fitness classes. He holds certifications from the American Council on Exercise, Precision Nutrition, USA Track & Field, USAFIT, and Resist-A-Ball, along with a BA in history and an MA in sociology. Tim is available for private and group jump rope lessons. Fun facts: Tim is vegan, a rock ‘n’ roll DJ, a mega college wrestling fan (Lehigh!), and the author of several books including Erotic New York.
Shana Brady • Director of Training
Shana joined the Punk Rope team in 2005. Since then she’s played a key role in designing and delivering all Punk Rope and Beastanetics workshops and classes. Shana has also worked as a personal trainer in corporate fitness centers, community centers, and private practice. She specializes in corrective exercise, especially with seniors. Shana holds a BS in exercise science and nutrition and is certified through the American Council on Exercise, American College of Sports Medicine, NASM, and Functional Movement Systems. Her personal fitness goal is to be fearless and keep jumping rope every day. Shana is available for jump rope lessons and personal training.
Heather Wagner • Instructor & Graphic Designer
Heather is a lifelong athlete who never trusted group fitness classes until she met Beastanetics. She’s also a rock drummer who misspent much of her youth at sweaty punk shows jumping around like a crazy person so she’s also very much at home in a Punk Rope class. Heather is an energy medicine practitioner and is fascinated by the connections between the energetic and physical bodies. If you like the Punk Rope website, T-shirts, and graphics, you can thank Heather. If you don’t, blame Tim. Heather is available for energy medicine sessions, personal training, and jump rope lessons.
